Job Description
The candidate will provide DHS with insight and advice concerning strategic direction and applicability of current, government and or industry standards, best practices, and or innovative solutions based on in-depth understanding of the latest developments relevant to test and evaluation arena. Responsible for planning, executing, and assessing complex efforts along with providing high level vision to program/manager and or leadership in the course of managing and or influencing objectives of complex efforts. Provides guidance on the functional procedures/processes/policies reflecting detailed knowledge of functional areas.
Job Requirements
Required Education: Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or a closely related technical discipline.
Required Experience: Bachelor’s Degree + 20 years (Master’s + 15 years) or more years of related T&E experience. The candidate should have demonstrated skills and abilities within T&E such as attained by T&E Level II training (DHS or DoD) and completion of DHS Operational Test Director’s course. Ability to lead a Team of T&E SME’s in supporting the function as an Independent Test Agent (ITA). Provide consistent and collaborative support to T&E, and adhere to the DHS Records Management policy for all work support Major Acquisition Programs within DHS. Provide T&E Functional Expertise who possess the skills to evaluate T&E.
Desired Experience: Experience with agile and traditional development methodologies; familiarity with agile events such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement sessions and Daily Stand-Up. Familiarity with user acceptance testing.
Certification Requirements
T&E Level II course completion from either DHS or DAU/DoD
DHS Operational Test Director’s course
Clearance Requirements
Prefer active or recently debriefed DHS/CBP or DoD clearance
Travel
Travel may be required to DHS sites located across the United States.
