Job Description:
GreenDart is seeking autonomous and automated vessel control engineers with experience in a broad spectrum of system engineering disciplines to join our Autonomy and Vessel Control Systems Test and Evaluation team. This team provides research, engineering and naval architecture on surface ships, submarines, small craft, and unmanned vehicles in the areas of hull forms, propulsion, platform dynamics, hydrodynamics, and conceptual and preliminary design support for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division’s (NSWCCD) Naval Architecture and Engineering Department (Code 80). As part of the team, you will perform systems integration, configuration management, and/or software development of autonomous systems. In addition, the team provides testing and evaluation of unmanned maritime systems.
Duties:
- Hardware and software research, design, development, integration, installation, troubleshooting, testing and documentation to support unmanned systems technology development.
- Systems integration, installation, and field support for hardware and software.
- Configuration management of autonomous systems.
- Software development and software process.
- Hardware, software, instrumentation, planning, and installation in support of testing and evaluating the operations and performance of non-payload sensors, Autonomy and Vessel Control Systems, and Ashore and Host Platform Elements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering, Math, Physical Sciences, and/or Computer Science field;
- 5 years of experience developing computer code and software;
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams;
Nice If You Have:
- 5 years of experience directly related to software development of autonomous systems;
- 1 year of experience working with software development teams in an Agile environment.
Salary Range:
$104,000 - $120,000
